Whiskey Sisters
The Whiskey Sisters are a Colorado-based grains brokerage firm supplying the highest quality product to Colorado distillers and malters. The Sister’s grains are 99.99 percent clean, whereas some mass-market grains can have stuff from the field in there—dirt, corncobs, we've even heard of nails—which will affect the flavor of the booze. The sisters, Stephanie & Felicia Ohnmacht grew up on the eastern plains of Colorado on a farm that was homesteaded in 1907 and is still in operation today. It has been in their family for over a century - 112 years! Today, the sisters combine their love of their home with their love of a good spirit to keep their hometown community thriving. The Family Jones uses the sisters corn, rye and wheat in our Annika Jones Vodka, Juniper Jones Gin, Atticus Jones Rye, Ella Jones Bourbon and other specialty products.
Root Shoot Malting Olander Farms
Pride and family values are an essential part of the process at Root Shoot Malting. As 5th generation farmers, the Olander family respects the heritage of their region's agriculture. Root Shoot Malting takes what they learned from the farmers before them... making the least impact on the Earth to keep the land healthy for the next generation of Root Shoot farmers. Root Shoot Malting is in Loveland, CO; just around the corner from our distillery! With their corn, rye, wheat and malt we are able to craft our Annika Jones Vodka, Juniper Jones Gin, Atticus Jones Rye, Ella Jones Bourbon and other specialty products.
GBT Farms
Farming in the small town of Johnstown, Colorado our friends from GBT Farms happily supply us with corn and rye for our Atticus Jones Rye, Ella Jones Bourbon, and other specialty products. Like our other farmers they provide us with the grains so we are able to provide you with grain to bottle spirits.
Jones Farms Organics
Jones Farms is a 4th & 5th generation family farm located in the San Luis Valley—about 30 minutes from the Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve. In 2005 they converted to 100% organic with an emphasis on soil health, regenerative practices, water conservation, crop rotation, multi-species cover crops, and diversification. Although mostly known for their amazing potato crops, they began growing beautiful and hardy Ryman Rye as a cover crop to protect the soil during the winters. They then discovered that folks were willing to purchase rye and distill it into tasty libations which is where the collaboration with The Family Jones Distillery (not related) came in. Now they can make a little extra money for protecting their soil—win win!
